Imaging Final Project Book Cover

In this project we were to create a book cover that would be as realistic as possible. The goal was to come up with a design that would attract the attention of a person glancing over a bookshelf, and make them want to pick it up for a closer look.  The title should be easy to read and eye-catching on both the front cover and the spine.  We were also to include a synopsis on the front flap, author information and price on the back flap, and the ISBN and bar  code on the back.  In this project I worked with both Illustrator and Photoshop to create an old-looking folder, importing fonts, clipping masks, and drop-shadow effects.  My book cover was from the movie "RED" (Retired: Extremely Dangerous), which was actually  based on a comic book.

Photoshop Movie Poster Project

In this project, we were to create a movie poster in Photoshop, including movie credits. We were to focus on manipulation of the text to create emphasis.  I learned a lot about masks, layering, cropping, sizing and text manipulation in this project.

Contrast Collage Project

In this assignment, we were to design a collage featuring a contrast between a futuristic invention and natural elements. This design exercised our skills in scanning, on-line research, and importing, manipulating, and placing images in a design using Photoshop.
